A girl's night out every now and again is good for the soul. We all need a chance to get together with our gal pals for a good chat, some belly laughs and of course, dancing.
But where can you go in Sydney where a great time is guaranteed?
Here are 7 fun suggestions for a top girl's night out in Sydney.
Every Thursday night is Ladies Night at Blackbird Café, overlooking beautiful Darling Harbour. Get your gang together and chill out with Blackbird's exclusive Ladies Night Menu. Enjoy a three course banquet for just $40 per person, $20 Sangria Jug Specials, $10 cocktails, $8 drink specials and $5 bubbles all night. And if you wear pink, you'll get a free shot on arrival! If cocktails aren't your thing, ask about their pizza making classes at Blackbird Café, on the balcony level at Cockle Bay Wharf.
Book your group cocktail mixology class at Harbour Bar & Kitchen in Harbourside and learn how to shake, mix and muddle your way to becoming an amazing party host. In-house mixologist Ronan Tuck will teach you how to make your favourite cocktails in a fun, engaging environment for just $85 per person (min group of 10 people). Round off the experience by dining at HBK on something smoky and succulent from the roaring coal oven, or select from a range of innovative smaller share plates.
Teppanyaki is tailormade for a great night out. It's a fun, interactive dining experience where you choose your own ingredients and then watch as your meals are prepared before your eyes by your group's personal teppanyaki chef. And nobody does teppanyaki better than Kobe Jones. The Rocks Teppanyaki restaurant combines traditional Japanese cuisine with prime Australian produce, a cocktail bar and five private teppanyaki rooms. This is the perfect place for a group of hungry girls on the town.
Once a full service garage, Riley St Garage is now a full service restaurant and bar and the perfect place to meet the gang for some gastronomic service and repairs. And every Thursday night downstairs in Busby under the Garage, it's Gin & Jazz Night featuring $15 cocktails from 6pm. They have all the classics with a twist including the Corpse Reviver, the Charlie Chaplin and the Busby G&T. Made to be enjoyed with some cool jazz in even cooler surrounds featuring industrial lighting, luxurious leathers and rough timber workbenches, this is a classy but comfy girl's night out.
With its enticing aromas, bustling kitchen and spectacular waterfront views, Casa Di Nico on King Street Wharf is a dining experience to remember. They have a wide selection of delectable pizzas, pastas and desserts, with everything is made fresh the true Italian way. Every day from 3 to 6pm, it's Casa Happy Hour, with $5 beer, wine and spirits, $8 cocktails and $15 wood-fired pizzas. If your friends like authentic Italian food, Casa Di Nico will surpass all expectations and with Happy Hour every day, it makes the perfect combo for a girl's night out.
If you and your girlfriends are seafood lovers, Blue Fish at Darling Harbour is one place you need to meet. It's pretty busy, but once you score a table, you'll enjoy some of Australia's best seafood, including fresh oysters, fish and chips, clam chowder, king prawn linguine, smoking crab stack, zatar spiced octopus and seared scallops. You can dine inside or out, and if you're all seafood lovers, you should definitely go for the Giant Family Platter, which features oysters, prawns, salmon, Morton Bay bugs, mussels, calamari, octopus, squid, lobster, barramundi and chips.
Bondi@2026 is a cool bar and restaurant where traditional North American meets Modern Australian cuisine. Formerly known as Fat Ruperts, it has great food (vegetarian friendly), good vibes, outdoor dining options, cool music and awesome cocktails. Chefs Felipe Jacques and John Lima specialise in Brazilian style steak and other famous dishes and the tapas is first class. If you're looking for somewhere to meet the girls, this is a great choice, with mains for under $20 and $5 beer and wine every day from 3 – 7pm.
