The Perfect Way to Say Thanks

It is the season for sharing what you're grateful for with your loved ones. The concept is simple, start the day giving thanks and end it with a food coma… But if you're hosting a Thanksgiving event, we know it could be a bit more complicated, (or even stressful). Here are our top tips to hosting an unforgettable Thanksgiving dinner.

It's all about the bird.
Your food display should be centred around the turkey, whether its roasted, grilled or fried. Make sure to marinate and prepare the night before as it usually takes several hours to cook. Once the turkey is in the oven, get started on all those delicious sides.

A time to bond.
Your meal is incomplete without mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, cornbread stuffing. Oh, and of course, dessert! We're thinking apple pie with a dollop of vanilla ice cream just to top it all off. While you're making sides, why not get everyone involved and maybe even give each person responsibility of a dish. It is a beautiful opportunity to make new memories together in the kitchen.

Is it too early for Christmas jingles?
Thanksgiving is the official start of the holiday season which means it's totally acceptable to turn up the Christmas classics! If you want to take it up a notch, why not create a dress code? We say ugly Christmas sweaters!

Give thanks in style.
Thanksgiving is about gratefulness and gratitude. A nice tradition is to go around the table and share one thing everyone's been thankful for in the past year. Why not go the extra mile and gift a Good Food Gift Card. What a better way to say thanks than a small gesture, it's the perfect way to say thanks.
