It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

It’s getting warmer and that means the Christmas season is approaching. It is the time of the year that is full of smiles, laughter, presents and lots of food. But what’s a good Christmas without some delicacies? Whether you’ve grown tired of cooking at home or just want to take your family or friends for some food discovery, it’s essential to choose the right place.

A good restaurant in the festive season can really shape the dining experience. Specialised Christmas menu’s and wine lists combined with festive styling allow you to enjoy your favourite restaurants in a completely different way.

So here are a couple of my favourites to look out for this Christmas.

Blackbird Café, Sydney, NSW

Blackbird makes a great dining option for the weeks leading up to Christmas Day. Not just because you can get dining options that include Italian and Asian and all the way thorough to a wonderfully prepared steak, but because the location is second to none.    You can thank me later.

Meat District Co., Sydney, NSW

If meat is high on your list this festive season, you’ll surely love this place. Not only is the menu stacked with world class steaks and meat dishes, but wine list, boutique beers and mocktails will set you up for the afternoon or evening. Everything you need in a festive dining experience this Christmas is wrapped up here.

Coda Bar and Restaurant, Melbourne, VIC

Located close to the Yarra River, and nestled in a crafty Melbourne laneway, Coda is something else. You will be greeted by the friendly staff, then your food will be prepared and cooked with the kind of love and care only Coda are renowned for. This is a perfectly set-up restaurant for the family dining experience and would suit those that like a balanced menu.

They are my picks, but the best way to enjoy them is to go to www.goodfoodgiftcard.com.au, purchase your take anywhere dining experience and don’t forget to use the online booking system to get a seat(s) at your favorite restaurant this festive season.
